Review of Critical Pursuit by Janice Cantore

Critical Pursuit (Critical Pursuit, #1)Critical Pursuit by Janice Cantore
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I'm a huge Janice Cantore fan having read all of her books. Critical Pursuit didn't disappoint! While the theme of this book is hard to read at times, the author deals with a real life issue that exists in our flawed world and the pursuit for justice for the victims.

The story takes a personal turn for search and rescue cop Brinna Caruso. She was abducted as a small child and later grew up to be a crusader for child victims of kidnapping and abuse. She struggles with accepting that God is real when she sees the horrible things happening to the victims she is so desperately seeking justice for. Her partner, Jack O'Riley, is dealing with his own issues of grief and is questioning God after having lost his wife to a car crash caused by a drunk driver. Resenting having to work together, they soon realize how similar they are. Together, they seek justice and proof that God is real in spite of a broken world. This well written story leads you on a fast, action packed journey to justice!
